We also have a lovely adventure playground for young children and toddlers alike, sand pit and grassed area in the centre of the park.

Stargazing

Our child-friendly Edinburgh caravan park offers a great range of activities for all the family. And when Edinburgh camping if you’re looking for something a little different, we’d recommend giving stargazing a go. Situated out of town, on the shores of the Firth of Forth, our Edinburgh caravan and camping site is in a prime spot to enjoy stargazing as its located away from the lights of the town centre. Enjoy the wonderful Scottish dark skies it from the warmth and comfort of the outdoor hot tub of one of our superior Scottish holiday lodges with hot tub or simply from your own campfire, with fire pits available to hire from Reception for your touring pitch or glamping pod. Please note we do not allow guests to use their own fire pits.

Cycling Routes

Explore the great East Lothian coastline with a child friendly coastal cycling route, a great activity to get your children out exercising in the fresh air. We’d recommend the John Muir Way, a long-distance path that runs from Dunbar to Helensburgh, with a good paved off-road section passing the Drummohr Holiday Park and passing by the reclaimed nature reserves of the Levenhall links. Why not cycle along the shores of the Firth of Forth to the beautiful town of Musselburgh, which has plenty of amenities, as well as a fishing harbour and beach. There are lots of other great cycling routes in the area close to our camp site Edinburgh, including the closed road cycle path from Musselburgh to Penicuik, the route of the old Edinburgh to Peebles railway.

Beaches

East Lothian is blessed with so many gorgeous sandy beaches, perfect for seaside adventures. The closest child-friendly beaches to Drummohr touring site are located at Longniddry Bents. This long sandy and rocky beach is accessed easily from the car park. It is close to the nature reserves and there are lots of birds to be seen feeding when the tide is out. The beach is popular with canoeists and windsurfers. There is also a sandy beach near Musselburgh harbour. Other amazing sandy beaches can be found at North Berwick and Gullane.
